Recognition for the constant and consistent Lean-Management-Initiative in all areas.
A few days ago KMU SWISS AG awarded the SWISS Lean Awards for the first time in the context of its Forum meeting in Baden. The winner in the category of up to 249 employees was Eugen Seitz AG from Wetzikon ZH. The company specialises in valve technology and convinced the jury with their consistent and constant implementation of the Lean Management approach in all areas. The award is a confirmation of the Lean-Management-Initiative that started in 2005.

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Andreas Steiner (49) as the new CEO for the Seitz Group.
Mr. Steiner has extensive managerial experience both at home and abroad in international companies as well as an excellent track record in the engineering industry. Mr Steiner takes over his new position in mid April 2011.
Mr. Steiner's predecessor, Mr Thomas Marder, is leaving the company after nearly six years of successful leadership to pursue entrepreneurial endeavours.

For two years already, Eugen Seitz AG leads in-house seminars together with the internationally operating Consulting Company Staufen AG (Switzerland). The training blocks include the following main topics:

• Sustainable optimizing of Business Processes
• Individual Improvement Organization
• Building a Lean Management Culture and Lean Management Structure

Due to the very positive development, the training program will be expanded in 2011 by the topic "Shopfloor Management".
